The Blue Banners Band was organized in 1956 and at first played for a few wedding dances and benefit dances at the local dance halls and clubs.
Since then the Blue Banners have proceeded so rapidly that as of now the band tours throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
This band has a slogan of "Southern Minnesota' Youngest Old-time Band" as the oldest member is 28 years old.
