The band is named 'The Clouds' on the box set front and rear, but is named just 'Clouds' on all the individual album sleeves.

For the first time, The Clouds present all of their albums in one collected box set.

RetroActive features all four of The Clouds incredible albums – 'Penny Century' (green vinyl), 'Octopus' (yellow vinyl), 'Thunderhead' (2LP purple vinyl) and 'Futura' (white vinyl) — most of which are being reissued for the first time since their initial release.

The box set takes the form of a deluxe foil slipcase, and each album is pressed on limited-edition coloured vinyl.

Tracks C5 'Swim', D5 'Tear Me Apart' and D6 'Lucy's Eyes' are bonus tracks not originally included on the mini-album 'Octopus'.
C5 & D5 were first issued on the 'Anthem' EP, which was released by Red Eye Records / Polydor on March 30th 1992.
D6 was first issued on the 'Hieronymous – Lucy's Eyes' single, which was released by Red Eye Records / Polydor on September 19th 1991.

Track I7 'Midwinter' is a bonus track not originally included on the album 'Futura'.
I7 was first issued on the 'Never Say Forever' CD single, which was released by Red Eye Records / Polydor on February 24th 1997.
