The title of the album is taken from a poem written by Samuel Bamford (1788 - 1872), a Lancashire handloom weaver by trade, but also a prolixic [sic] writer, penning many pamphlets, leaflets, and letters, as well as being a poet and newspaper correspondent.

Thanks to Yoke and Arun, Sharon and Martha and Bede, Denis, Steve + Fenny + Jim at "On The Wire" (BBC Radio Lancashire), WFMU, Oli, Helmut, Guru Gordon + Vanessa + Alan at Action Records, Remko, Stuart + Stoko (Evil Blizzard) for use of bass guitar, and all friends and family.

This album is dedicated to Mark E. Smith and John The Postman.

According to the release page on the Bandcamp website: "Only 300 copies of the vinyl will be released and the first 100 copies include a hand painted inner sleeve, a free badge, and other goodies". This copy came with a signed, limited print numbered of 300 with autographed notes on the rear (see images).
