Greatest hits compilation. Two tracks ("In The Clouds" & "Beauty's On The Street"), up until the time of this release, had been previously unreleased on any solely-released item by The Cult. However, there is some confusion as to when "In The Clouds" was sound recording copyrighted (P). It was originally released on You Ready For This? Music From The Extreme Games, a various-artist compilation which was sound recording copyrighted in 1995 despite this release bring sound recording copyrighted in 1996. There is no difference between the two releases.

Tracks 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 are all edits of their respective album versions. Track 5 is the single version (which was different (longer) from the album version).

All 'Additional Musicians' listed above are credited in the liner notes as having "contributed to The Cult live or in the studio."

Some promo copies came with a gold stamp on the front cover of the booklet, but otherwise contain no differences from the standard release.
