limited to 100we wrote and recorded these songs in three days with gypo buggane, owner of ballagroove records located on the isle of man. we had parker donaldson on guitar, and ben hance on drums. our friend and tour manager john lynch, recorded drums on the song, “this kind of friend”. we spent most of the day working on our instrument parts, lyrics, melodies, & harmonies. driving from the home we were staying in to the studio was stunning! the isle of man is so beautiful with fields of flowers, steep cliffs, and the Irish sea. so, it was easy to find the inspiration to create.
the first time we met gypo was while we were playing the supernormal festival in england the week before. we all hit it off right away at the festival, and were looking forward to our recording session together. gypo had also booked us a show, and after our studio session, we loaded up to go to the gig. We were all really psyched to find out the show had sold out!
The next day everyone that was a part of making that show happen, had a lovely dinner together, followed up by a walk on the beach of the irish sea. the whole trip was magical and we can’t wait to go back!
