"In a year particularly marked by turmoil — a global pandemic, wildfires, racial pain, political upheaval — I’ve felt particularly grateful for one of the many wonderful gifts Jesus has given to man: that of the arts, and their uncanny ability to lift us out of ourselves and remind us of the joy, beauty, and wonder around us. That’s what I’ve always wanted The Dandelion Council to reflect in some small sense, and over the course of various albums, I’ve attempted to distill into music my own various feelings of deep nostalgia, longing, joy, and worshipful delight at the incredible cosmos the Lord has made. With this selection of some of the more accessible songs from the Dandelion Council’s last 13 years, it’s my earnest hope that you might find a reminder of the joy that exists even amidst a broken world. Having this album come out on cassette feels particularly special to me, as that is the analog medium through which I first became captivated by music — and, like any good analog medium, the passing of time gradually affects the ways the songs themselves sound, becoming an art piece in and of itself in some sense. I hope you enjoy it!"
