Just before 'Alternative Allston' was released, Throbbing Lobster acquired a used photocopier along with some light blue photocopy paper. While waiting for the poster sleeves to arrive, the label made several attempts to fit the front design (a collage of everyone's favorite storefronts in Allston center) and the essential information onto a single 8.5x11" sheet, which - paper and toner being too expensive to waste - were paired with test-pressings or regular disks as advance copies. Note that the incorrect P.O. Box had already been identified and crudely fixed on the printing master with Wite-Out and marker. The photocopy machine died within a couple of days.
