This is dedicated to the Lancashire witches who were murdered because their knowledge of herbal medicine, midwifery and many other skills derived from practical experience and passed down through the generations proved to be too great a threat to the big white medicine man and his little chalk pills. It is also dedicated to the Tuatha De Dannan of Ireland whose way of life centred around a Mother/Goddess named Danu.
Bridget was one of the more famed Goddesses of Ireland and was credited with bestowing the gifts of language, music, poetry, art, sculpture, the invention of musical instruments, sacred dance and drama and so on. She was later made into a saint by the conquering Christians who invaded Ireland.
