"Following the push of creativity, The Fuzzmen explore sound territories combining an avant-garde attitude, rock guitars, Mardi Gras excitement, jazz spiritualism and psychedelic visions in a music as sparkling and exciting as they could be the adventurous jams of Miles Davis of the electric period.." (Luca Salmini - Buscadero Magazine)The FuzzMen is the product of a long-time collaboration between some heavyweights of American music on both the jazz and R&B/jam bands scene, Joe Fonda and Bobby Lee Rodgers, and Italian drummer Tiziano Tononi, whose expertise dominates those very areas.
In this session "These Three Men" - check out the long version of John Barleycorn - found a common ground through the language of groove, passion and improvisation, while remaining true to the song and simultaneously adding their unique talents as seasoned improvisers to the bigger picture.
Assisted by some of the top musicians of the Italian scene, violin wizard Emanuele Parrini, saxophone virtuosi Piero Bittolo Bon and Beppe Scardino, and keyboards specialist PeeWee Durante, they evoked a composed landscape where their many respective influences all blend together, in what we can define as a unique, one-of-a-kind explosive mix.
