Mix down on 11, 12 & 23 December 1998.Starting out in 1990 as devotees of the Jump 'n Jive style, The Handsome Harry Company represented an interesting melting pot of Rhythm and Blues of the forties, mambo of the fifties, hard bop ingredients of the sixties, and even some crossover funk and boogaloo. The talents of Peer de Graaf, soulful sax player Wout Wantenaar, trumpeter Bert Lochs, pianist Lucas Asselbergs, double bass player Taeke Stol, and drummer Martin van Gastel produced their remarkable sound: transparent, sophisticated, catchy and groovy.
