Recorded live in Prague 12th November 2016

Recorded live in PONEC Theatre, Prague, in front of The House In The Woods' half-sleeping, entranced audience, it begins with a dusk chorus, a symphonic pad wonderland shining through the crackle - warbling deeper and deeper, retuning itself, swinging back and forth to a satisfying unison. Slowly the tones shift to a fainter space, where understated roars and rumbles occupy the sound field, like the raspy motor of a mysterious but sleeping machine. Increasingly, these textures get a brittle, metereological touch - like a fine mist or a strange drizzle. At some point, the sound gets very spatialized and the sense of something bubbling, reflecting on near edges becomes undeniable - before getting cleaved by sharp, icy strings, creating ripples in this cavernous puddle. Our dark cave system turns out to contain a dubbed out echo chamber - between occasional jolts and jitters, sometimes a beam of light shines in - a sweet pop voice, miles away or a slumberous arp sequence sliding by. Finally, the long form piece concludes with huge washes of sound, seemingly under a grand open sky, a howling, dying battle horn fading into the fuzzy heartbeat of the deep night.
