This unofficial release is a compilation primarily of officially released non-album tracks. The unreleased material consists of five demo recordings (tracks A6 to A10), two recordings made for a television appearance (tracks C5 and C6), and one live recording (track C4).

Much of the contents of "Kollectable Kinks" eventually was released on albums as bonus tracks on CD reissues of Kinks albums by the Rhino, Castle, Velvel, and Sanctuary record labels.

The fictitious and inaccurate names in the credits were included facetiously by the talented and knowledgeable fan who painstakingly compiled, designed, manufactured, and distributed the album.

Some copies have the 3 colours labels, green, yellow and pink Reprise label.
