According to the band, because no one was keeping track of studio costs, this ended up being the most expensive record SST ever put out.

Joe Nolte plays piano on A5, but is credited as "Leo Nolte." Leo is Joe's actual first name.

Tracks are numbered sequentially regardless of side on the labels.
