It was the end of an era. Uncle Burnin' Love, farmer, lover, the world's only country rock and roll banjo player, had decided to hang up his chops. Too many burn-outs and binges and broken-down Sunday mornings too far from his gals.So the Re-mains decided to record his last show, as a testament to four years at the coalface. Then Ward, a victim of Australia's newfound culture of mean-ness, had to quit the road, and the Pup was jumpin' ship. We called in the best in the business to record the show and make the sound big and to photograph and film it. And here it is, Uncle Burnin' Love's last stand, the end of The Re-mains forth line-up, and the genesis of their next.
