PAL TV LP by The Residents

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 1985-10

Label: Doublevision

First pressing of 5000 copies on red vinyl with mistakenly etched master, so labels appear to be reversed. Actually labels do match with what is etched (etching side A is labeled as side A, same for side B) but not with what is played. Second pressing on black vinyl has matrix corrected, so now labels match with tracks.

Front sleeve has a round sticker: "DVR 17 LIMITED EDITION RED VINYL".

Side One label: The Mole Show Live. Doublevision Music/Cryptic Corp.
Side Two label: Extract of Fats (from the Ralph Lp cat. nos. RR.8452). Warner Bros. Music.

"This "Pal TV LP" was released to commemorate the availability, for the first time ever, of a 60 minute videocassette through Doublevision of The Residents performing in their celebrated video movies "The Mole Show (Live)" and "Whatever Happened To Vileness Fats" for European (Pal tv) standard video players. Now, we in the UK and Europe can also enjoy one of America's favourite pastimes in the comfort of our own homes!" (notes from release).
