Red vinyl edition.Quotes from back cover" "Side 1 of this album includes three titles, never before released, kicking off with the long "Hillside Blues", a real back-to-the-roots blues.
Side 2 is a rare glimpse to the Stones rehearsals for their US tour begining at end of May 1978. The band gathered at Bearsville Studios in Woodstock NY.
It offers an insite to the kind of songs they liked to play in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and. while doing so, they reheasred many songs that did not find their way to the show, many of them dated back to their performances in 1964-1965 such as Sweet Little Sixteen, The Fat Man (Fats Domono's first 45), Tell me, etc.
The Infamous Cocksucker Blues is not accoustic but a long drums/electric guitars and heavy Bill Wyman bass version.
It is apparent how much care and concentration the Stones gave in getting ready for the tour. It provides an interesting contrast to the actual live performances in 1978. Hearing the Woodstock tapes offers a rare opportunity to hear the Stones applying themselves during a troubled time."
