The Savages were formed in Bombay in 1967 by ace drummer Bashir Sheikh and they went on to become one of the pioneers of rock 'n' roll music in India. They've started playing in live music circuit and soon become one of the most exciting live acts of that era. They released their debut LP, 'Live' on Polydor Records India in 1971 featuring 11 classic tracks. The original copies of this record have become ultra-rare now and change hands at about 400-500 Euros in the collectors' circle!The independent record label from Kolkata, India, Free School Street Records is proud to reissue this coveted record on limited edition transparent red vinyl of 250 copies that includes a 4-page colored insert with liner notes and rare photos.
