from release site:"On 12 April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the Vostok 3KA spacecraft. The mission (Vostok 1) was the first human spaceflight, and from launch to landing, it took 108 minutes and that was all that was needed for history to be made.
Yuri Gagarin was a hero by almost any standard, but still I have to think about those small canine cosmonauts, some of whom gave their lives, who paved the way to that moment. They had no choice (apart from the one that ran away), Yuri did.
This release is only a short piece, but I couldn't let the day go unnoticed. It wouldn't have happened at all if Grant Middleton hadn't sent me his "Peter Baumann patch". I edited it a little bit, but there it is as the solo sound on this track."
