From the inner sleeve:

This album was recorded in 2001, right before we signed to Drive-Thru Records. We had originally been signed to We the People Records, and this was supposed to be released on WTP (which is why people sometimes refer to it as the "We The People Sessions"). Shortly after recording the album, Richard and Stefanie Reines signed the band to Drive-Thru Records, and we used a few of the songs on the "With Hopes Of Starting Over" EP. Most of these songs have somehow managed to find their way onto the internet, but we wanted to make it available for everyone to listen to and hear where we came from, and how we intended for everyone to hear the album.

We were super young and inexperienced when making this record and I don't think any of us had any idea what was in store for us. A huge thank you to Charlie Adams and Dustin at We The People for taking a chance on us. We'd also love to thank Richard and Stefanie Reines, without the two of you believing in TSL, none of this would've been possible.
