In 1982 Dutch new wave outfit The Tapes performed their farewell concert at Paradiso, Amsterdam. ‘Stay Home’ was the final encore. Almost forty years later The Tapes’ swan song reverberates in new ways.
This is a 4-track reel to reel demo The Tapes recorded in mid 1980 in their rehearsal room in Paradiso’s basement. The band split up before they got around to doing a proper studio recording of ‘Stay Home’.
