The Turina and Tcherepnin compositions are the first stereo recordings of these works. The Manziarly composition was commissioned by The Western Arts Trio and the William Robertson Coe American Heritage Foundation. The album is stamped in red ink "COMPLIMENTARY". LP is signed on the back cover by the producer Herschel Burke Gilbert "To Marion Ehemann - Hillcrest High Fidelity 11-20-83 Herschel Gilbert".
Recorded with Newman SM-2 Intensity Stereo Microphone in the Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center, University of Wyoming. The front cover has a sticker on it that reads "This Record Pressed with The New American "Quiex" vinyl for extra quiet surfaces.
