"In 1987 Dave Fanning made a few trips down to the ACTVE SOUNDS Mansion in Gloucestershire. The plan was simple, record music.
Dave's priority was to record songs for his solo project, THE DISCIPLES.
Also what transpired was a joint project, with himself and Rat.
What came out of that was three songs, and the project was named THE CHILDREN.
Two songs from each project have been chosen for inclusion in this very limited 7"

All these songs have been taken from a cassette and cleaned up as best I could.
The machine (part one) is actually a shortened version, due to lack of space on this record.
So this is my country actually appeared on an obscure Apostles tape, but these song was always Dave's solo project as can be seen in the photo.

Dave was contacted to give his permission for these songs to be used, but a response never came.
I'm sure Dave is very unlikely to ever hear, or see this, but if you do, Dave, and you're not happy, sorry!"
