This was Tiny's final Reprise record. 'Why' was recorded at the Western Recorders studio in Los Angeles on November 30 of 1970. 'The Spaceship Song' was recorded there the next day, December 1. The first song was a hit for Frankie Avalon and the second was written by Tiny in 1963 for Miss Snooky. US stock copies were made (this release), but very few sold and the producer, Joe Wissert, never saw one of them. Promotional copies are nearly the only version of this record available today since they got sent to radio stations, though instead of The Spaceship Song, they have a mono recording of Why. The record was also released in Canada and Australia as orange stock copies, but they are scarce.
