This CD contains the demo recordings of the Musical "Alice", recorded in Hamburg, Germany, 1992. The source is believed to be studio recordings taken when Waits' car was broken into in late 1992 (as confirmed by Waits).

This PmS edition contains four more tracks (24, 26, 27, 28) than the 74 minutes bootleg CD "Alice: The Original Demos". However, the four extra tracks are not taken from a "studio" source, they were actually recorded during cast rehearsals with a mic on stage or from the audience. Track 8 is a shorter version of Track 6.

Reworked version of most of these demos has been officially released in 2002 under the title Alice (ANTI-; 86632-2).
