This new record, Looking for a Light, is a definite step forward for the band. Less emphasis on layers of fuzz guitar, the songs are more nuanced and varied in sound and texture, while all still sounding like TITE songs. The band is excited to have joined Kitten Robot Records, who will be handling the digital side of the release while long-time label Somewherecold Records releases the LP and CD. Initially, TITE songs were an outlet for the depression John was experiencing during the first couple of years of the band's existence. As the depression lifted, the songs remained fairly dark, because that's how John uses the music, to clear out the darkness inside. John is also drawn to the darker side of music, anyway, and finds comfort in songs of sadness, loss and fear.
