The year is 1972. Tommy Bolin and Energy can't get a record deal. In retrospect, it is one of the true absurdities of modern. Here is on of the legendary guitarists of the rock era, doing fabulous music with an amazing band - and they can't get a deal! This CD stands as the album that never came out. A Collection of wonderful demos and an instrumental track from the obscure mountain climbing film Break On Through. Great songs, powerful performances, pristine fidelity - this is the real thing. Bolin's missing year is now documented. Energy indeed!

Tommy Bolin often cited Energy as his favourite band, but their recorded history is scant. This is your chance to hear the band playing live on tour in 1972. Tracks 1-8 are from legendary Tulagi club Boulder, Colorado. Tracks 9-11 are from the Rooftop Ballroom in Tommy's hometown of Sioux City on December 17 and 18. The audio was taken from the best surviving sources we could find and has been digitally restored but the quality is still rough when compared to pristine studio recordings. We are proud to give fans the opportunity to hear this exciting and rare material.
