It was originally released on the label Step2House as an EP/mini-album, but 63 minutes of music is more than enough for being called an album nowadays. Compared to Transwave's Helium & Phototropic which were released the following year, Hypnorhythm is a relatively rough sounding album, and this is exactly its magic. It captures the magical raw talent of Christof Drulliet (Absolum) and Fredric Holyszewski (Deedrah) and supplies some great moments of the early Goa trance music.
