The Unreleased Project 1981.This is a project made 15 years ago, which means this is what our hearts and minds sounded like 15 years ago. The sound has maybe changed a little, but the heart is still the same.
"Tocando Sentindo Suando" was recorded in 1981, shortly after Joyce (his beautiful wife) finished her "Feminina" album. It was made with almost the same line up of outstanding musicians who worked on Joyce's fantastic "Agua E Luz" album, but this time under Tutty's musical direction. The album includes three upbeat typical Joyce flavoured sambas and some fabulous brasilian jazz fusion tracks as well as original versions of later recorded classics like "Magica". With it's jazzy improvisation, beautiful chords, haunting melodies and breathtaking musicianship, "Tocando Sentindo Suando", ranks alongside the best of brasilian samba jazz albums.
Incredibly this album might never have seen the light of day had Joyce not recently discovered a dusty forgotten half-inch tape in her loft. She played the tape to London DJ and "Far Out Recordings" Boss, Joe Davis on one of his frequent business trips to Rio de Janeiro and...well the rest is history. "Far Out Recordings" is honoured to bring you this wonderful album, never released before, and still sounding as fresh as the day it was made.
