We are very pleased to present Unit Four+Two on this their very first, and aptly-titled album. Their success story is familiar to everyone; after two well-received singles, GREENFIELDS and SORROW AND PAIN, they burst to nation-wide popularity with CONCRETE AND CLAY, a Latin-styled number which proved its worth by shooting to the top of the hit parade.
Their clean-cut style and proficiency have won them praise from many of the most influencial members of the entertainment world, including Lionel Bart, writer of the hit shows "Oliver", "Blitz" and "Maggie May".
The success of CONCRETE AND CLAY in America has brought the group a flood of offers to tour there, but with their usual thorough, good sense, the boys have postponed this otherwise golden opportunity until they have proved to their own satisfaction that they are capable of doing so with credit. But, whilst their attitude is commendable, listening to this record will satisfy everyone that they already possess the talents they so eagerly seek.
