From back cover:

NOTE: The hymns on these records are arranged and listed in the order of their appropriateness for the seasons of the church year. Each of the 62 hymns is separated by a 10-second band so that it can be played and learned individually in homes as part of regular family worship. The hymns are also arranged so that all three records can be stacked to be flipped only once for nearly two and on half hours of listening which will catch the full continuity of the church year. The number before each title listed below corresponds to the page number in The-Hymn-of-the-Week Songbook available through Augsburg Publishing House. The number following each title is the number of the hymn as it appears in the Service Book and Hymnal now being used by the majority of Lutheran churches in the United States.

a Time for Singing was recorded in Angelica Lutheran Church, Los Angeles, Calif. The choir was composed of 12 professional singers. Equipment employed consisted of the Neumann SM-2 Stereo-differential microphone in conjunction with modified Ampex tape equipment. Disc cutting was by the Haeco SC-1 system.
