Album Info

Release Date: 1960

Label: Fredlo

The audio on both sides is identical. Although the labels show an A side and a B side, the runout etchings are identical for both sides. An awkward edit at the 0:45 mark suggests that the original recording was only about 47 seconds long but was looped. The song features two male vocalists singing in unison apart from harmony on the last note, backed by a rhythm section providing a jump blues style accompaniment in the manner of Louis Prima's band.

John A. Bell (April 2, 1920 - April 9, 2006) was an attorney based in Moline, Illinois, who worked for 35 years as an attorney in the general practice of law in the Illinois counties of Rock Island and Knox. With lyrics including "It's time the Democrat monopoly fell / One party 28 years is not a two-party system," it can be assumed Bell was a candidate for the Republican party.
