Notes on a comeback
---------------------

I'd mothballed V/Vm for some time and at the outset of the year had no plans to resurrect the name.
This year though the opportunity arose to use some audio I'd made for my own amusement with artwork which existed elsewhere.
I wanted to test the waters in terms of production times using some old contacts.
Reworking Tim Hecker in the style of Mrs Mills is the kind of thing I do here from time to time.
Just to see how things come out and how they work.

If you overlaid the release on Tim's album it weirdly worked and on a personal note I was over
the moon to get Gladys Mills back out there.

I digress anyway, a lot of people seemed to think the Nils Frahm version was a joke or didn't exist.
I actually spent a few hundred quid pressing up 500 copies which are just mothballed under my Mum and Dad's table in England.
A few have leaked out there, it was given the code OFFAL16 for those interested in facts.
Nils underpinned a track on his Late Night Tales album with a Caretaker track.
I didn't even get a copy let alone a mention, so I made the Frahm styler again for self amusement and because anything is always possible.

WHich brings us to this offal recording you have downloaded.

As a show of thanks who supported the old name in new ways I've lightly taken the cleaver to some old favourites.
It's only being made available to those who bought the VVMrs Mills download and also to people who bought the CD should they get in touch.

Alongside this are a couple of other offcuts, there's the Mrs Mills version of 'The Entertainer' which I made about 18 months back.
That was the initial piano test which inspired the Tim Hecker mess. Gladys has been placed in the old Terry's Chocolate factory in York.

There's also a track lifted from the Frahm Hecker CD which nobody can get as well as a track done in the style of 'Stranger Things' as
I was gutted to see Tangerine Dream back out covering a soundtrack which sounded like them in the first place.
It's a fucking laughable scene out there these days and I'd planned in redoing the whole album in that style, just to see if I could.
It's mothballed with the other 700 tracks or so I've hammered out this year.

I did a hack of New Order as well as i'm fucking sick of hearing Blue Monday for years everywhere and there's a topical twist on East 17 to be discovered.

It's all rubbish really except for track 09 which sums up mood perfectly this end.

Bah humbug times this side.

Two or three new V/Vm works are in the pipelines but like everything time is needed.

Thanks again for the support hopefully these tracks can help aid these dystopian times.

Artwork is by 'Oasis of Hate'

Big love to you all from the old Kraker, I'm going back to the dartboard to hit some bulls whilst
listening to Michelle McManus' hit "All this time' on loop.
