Previously only officially released on Cassette (through Sofa Sound), this is a CD release of the "Lost" Van Der Graaf Generator period (post-"Pawn Hearts", pre-"Godbluff").

(from liner notes):
"These are archive recordings from the halcyon lost period of Van Der Graaf recorded between 1972 and 1975: Post "Pawn Hearts" and pre "Godbluff"."

Tracks 1 and 7 have a Vocals overdub, Track 4 a Saxophone overdub. All other tracks are from the original tapes.

Track 5 is a compilation track containing fragments of the other songs.
