2006 Film Score Monthly limited edition 12-CD box set, containing the entire run of "Filmmusic Collection" classic score re-recordings by Elmer Bernstein, originally issued on LP on his own label (except for FMC-11, which contained the original soundtrack recording to "Scorpio" by Jerry Fielding, and was previously issued on a limited-edition CD from Bay Cities!) and collected here, with the addition of a 2003 re-recording for "Kings Of The Sun" conducted by Bernstein, and described in the included book as a "spiritual descendant" of the Collection. The packaging includes three clamshell jewel boxes (each holding 4 CD's!), as well as a 136-page book with in-depth liner notes, track and technical information, numerous photos of the represented composers, and many examples of musical notations and motives from each score provided by Brian Satterwhite, all housed within a coated cardboard slipcase. (Bernstein's name is indeed misspelled in the matrix area/mirror band of each CD, as indicated in the Barcodes & Identifiers section!)
