Produced in conjunction with Granada Television and The British Library National Sound Archive.Disappearing World was a UK TV show that ran from 1970 to 1993.
All tracks are credited to ethnic groups except track 8 credited to Kataragama (a Sri Lankan deity) and track 15 credited to Marrakech (the Moroccan city). Tracks 10 and 17 were both notably sampled on The KLF - Chill Out.
The disc is a professionally printed CDr. The text layout is similar to the earlier issue but slightly different and black instead of blue.
The sixteen-page booklet includes twelve pages of notes on the featured recordings. There is one photo on the front cover and two on the back; the earlier issue had the same images on the back and front respectively.
The back inlay says Disappearing World at the top, the contact details for the label include an email address and a website URL and track 17 is given as "Tuva"; on the earlier issue the title was "Tuva, USSR".
