" Free Concerts may be very hip and trendy, and as everyone tries to create their own Hyde Park scene, gimmickry is involved to draw attention to the artistes involved, etc, but the two evenings documented in these two volumes can only be judged in terms of the pleasure gained by all who attended and the high quality of the music within.
Free Concerts will die their deaths, like the underground will and the flowers have done, but this does not invalidate them, and we can look back on them with the nostalgic memories as we do with early Jazz Festivals, and the Middle Earth era " - Taken from the LP liner notes.
