This compilation is dedicated to the fusion of black music and gypsy music created during the last century in Spain. We will mainly focus on a breakthrough movement that was started by “rumberos” and “flamencos” by mixing soul, funk and disco, reaching its maximum splendour in the late seventies. By mixing these genres, all executed unashamedly, musicians were able to explore new sounds and discover links between these two well-known musical traditions, so distant and yet so close. For this compilation, we have chosen fourteen of the best songs, all recorded during those times and released between 1974 and 1984
