"This album contains a wide selection of instrumental marches of the German armed forces as interpreted by the leading military and civilian brass bands during the 1930's and early World War Two period. All the marches on this album are from original 78rpm discs of the era, faithfully transcribed and engineered to preserve the purity of sound and timbre inherent in each original performance.

With the kind assistance of several private audio collectors of substantial rank, we have been fortunate in obtaining the clearest and most technically brilliant examples of these recordings known to exist. The discs were first obtained in 'mint' condition at the time of their release and maintained in pristine condition to this day. The sound quality is of such remarkably high quality that we must again assure the listener that every cut on this LP is from an original disc of pre-1945 vintage."
