Here at Disintegration State we wanted to do something collaborative to mark Cassette Store Day, rather than simply produce a straight-up compilation.

We got chatting to a friend of the label, Wiggy (illdirks), who primarily creates music under the name Mischevious Wisdom to accompany spoken word, like his work with Julie G Wordist. But by his own admission never gets around to finishing his own instrumentals.

He pulled together a few he liked and shared the audio stems with the Disintegration State artists, who promptly got to work sampling, mangling, warping and reshaping Wiggy's originals into something new.
