Side "A" dedicated to "Los Angeles" bands, Side "B" dedicated to "San Francisco" bands. Which side a band appears on is determined by where they were based at the time of the release, not necessarily where the band was originally formed.
There is no clear designation of A or B sides on the release, this can only be determined by the runout echings.
