"Hits Explosion" cover and back cover came with lots of typing mistakes, as it follows:- "What's On Your Mind? (Pure Energy)" wrongly came as "(Pure Energy) What's On Your Mind?" on vinyl, cassette and CD;
- "Hot Music (La Fiesta)" was credited to Jeff Joseph only. In fact, it is performed by The Gramacks featuring Jeff Joseph;
- "So Alive" (Love and Rockets) was misspelled as "So Alives" on vinyl cover. The song title was corrected on vinyl back cover, cassete cover and label and CD back cover and inlay;
- "Kiss" (The Art of Noise) has two uncredited data: The version type ("The AON Mix") and the featured vocals (Featuring Tom Jones). Besides, the name of the band and the song is misplaced in the cover ("The Art of Noise" became the song and "Kiss" became the band, when, in fact, it is the other way around.). This was corrected on vinyl back cover, cassette cover and label and on CD back cover and inlay;
- The song "Shock Me Amadhouse" (Amadhouse) was mislabeled as "Sensations?" (Kassav). This data was corrected on vinyl back cover and label, cassette cover and label and CD back cover and inlay;
- And finally, "Shock Me Amadhouse" had two released versions, one on vinyl and another on CD: The present version on vinyl and cassette was the "Extended Dub" (edited in the end in 3:20 minutes). Now the present version on CD is the "Edit" one, with 3:55 minutes long;
- Some credits about the song record company copyright weren't clear or omitted on vinyl: "She Drives Me Crazy" was copyrighted as belonging to PolyGram and CBS at the same time, although it belonged to PolyGram; "Hot Music (La Fiesta)" and "Shock Me Amadhouse" was credited as an original production from Som Livre label, but they are not : "Hot Music" is copyrighted as (P) 1984 & © 1988 Caribbean Island Caraibas, represented in Brazil by SIGEM (a defunct Brazilian label) and "Shock Me Amadhouse" is copyrighted as (P) & © 1988 Vinyl Mania / R.E.M. (under Beat Box label), represented in Brazil by SIGEM. These credits were restored on CD version.
There is another version of this record, released in 1989, called "Hits Explosion - Atlantida FM".
