Album Info

Release Date: 1990

Label: Audio Arts

Talking Art is a series of discussions with leading artists from Britain and abroad organised by the Institute of Contemporary Arts. JEEF KOONS talks to Adrian Searle. Recorded by Audio Arts 17th October 1989.
From inner Notes:

Jeff Koons, the contentious leader of New York 'commodity sculpture', has progressed from displays of basketballs and pristine vacuum cleaners to outrageous groups of the worlds's largest porcelain figures – from angelic children to pigs to Michael Jackson. His forays into self-promotional advertising and his advogacy of 'Bannality as Saviour' have made him the subject of both of applause and derision. Whether as saviour or as apotheosis of art-world decadence, Koons represents a letter-day success story.
