This double CD has been in part produced by the Arnolfini Center for the Arts in Bristol, England as part of the Far West exhibition. Each track on this CD has been designed specifically for a museum space, and is to be played on loop in its corresponding space at low volume, below voice level. On one system, Music for Museums is to be played on shuffle so as to include a necessary silence, programmed as tracks 5 and 9.
