The [first half of the] year's big hits, performed by - a bunch of anonymous artists/fake groups. No attempt to indicate which artist performs which song. It is probably the same artists throughout, arguably making this an album, rather than a compilation...

Sightly different track listing to the NZ and UK "Group 64" version, with 14 tracks instead of 12. This one adds "Do-Wah-Diddy-Diddy", "Can't Buy Me Love", "You're My World" and "Anyone Who Had A Heart", and drops "The House Of The Rising Sun" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand"

White label stereo pressing. the LP was advertised for immediate release in March 1965 (out of sequence from other Young World LPs - there seems to be an odd-number sequence, with even numbers later issued to fill in the gaps: but the label did not last long enough to fill this out).
