The idea of this CD was to accompany the Batofar club in Paris, France, during their celebration of this fascinating and very active Japanese modern musical scene. This compilation CD is not strictly limited to the artists performing at the festival in December 2001, but offers an opening, a wider and complementary point of view. Also, I like to imagine this CD as a relay between two generations of musicians who continue to influence one another. Franck Stofer
