Release is subtitled 1930-1942, yet the sleeve indicates that two tracks fall outside of these dates. Track 14 was recorded in 1943, and track 16 was originally recorded in 1920. The latter tune, "Mon Homme," was the signature song of the artist, Mistinguett, who first recorded it in 1916. Translated into English, the song was made famous again as "My Man."

This release was also included in the 1999 8-CD compilation Les Grands Du Music-Hall (EPM Musique 984902).
