Marches And Waltzes (Fairground Organs From The Thursford Collection) by Various

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 1982-06

Label: World Record Club

Issued at least twice by WRC, once in red & black font on pink, and blue font on back, and this version with crimson & brown font on pink. "℗ 1980 E.M.I. Records Ltd., U.K." on labels, but the text is centred across entire label, in the post-1980 style. This one looks to be the later one, as the copy here has the later white sticker on the back (actually redundant, of course, as the sleeve is an WRC original with their own number printed on it. The white sticker with the generic 99998 number turns up on many of their reissues from the clubꞌs final years. It was no doubt reissued in this colour scheme in 1982, and offered once more, with the sticker, a year or two later). Runouts unchanged from 1st pressing.

"An E.M.I. recording, released for its members in Australia by World Record Club."

Side One features The Wellerhaus 84 Keyless Showman's Organ.
Side Two features The 101 Key Hooghuys Showman's Organ.
The organs are part of the Thursford Collection (Museum) in Norfolk, UK.
