Descent II: The Infinite Abyss was a 1996 repackage of Descent II, including Descent II with 3D accelerated Version, The Vertigo Series with 20 all new levels, the Mission Builder, and the Level Converter. It was released as a double disc Big Box case, with the standard Descent II levels on disc 1, and the Vertigo Series on disc 2.

Also called the Definitive Collection, the sound track that accompanies this release is different than the standard release, with a number of extended remixes and new tracks.
