"A cornerstone of San Francisco's music revolution since its opening in 1965 by guitarist Marty Balin, the Matrix was a well known venue for experiencing some of the most ground-breaking music of the time. Many of the 60s most innovative musicians, including Balin's own band, Jefferson Airplane, played here until the doors closed in 1972.

This hub of the Bay Area music scene reemerged in 2001 with the opening of Matrix-Fillmore. A signature fireplace and a dark, sexy, suede-covered lounge now characterize the venue still known for local, live music and the best DJs in the city.

The CD compiled studio DJ remixes, many/or maybe most previously released. Low's "Tonight" is not listed as the "Ben Watt Night Flight Remix" from the Tonight 12" and "Buzzin' Fly Volume One" CD, but that is the version used.
