It’s been over three years since the last instalment of our Jazz Bizniz series, and after much deliberation over which tracks to include, we are ready to unleash “Jazz Bizniz 4” on to the oversubscribed compilation market. As with previous volumes, all tracks are culled from independent labels and most have never been released in Europe before.

"Jazz Bizniz 4" has all the hallmarks of previous volumes, which have become an essential purchase for anyone remotely interested in the roots of what is now flippantly referred to as ´nu jazz´.

The album covers a wide spectrum of styles, from soul/jazz, modal and funk to African, Latin and even soul and disco sounds. The emphasis is on raw, live performances that have stood the test of time. Whether the tracks were recorded in the 1960´s, 70´s, 80´s, 90´s or in the 2000´s (all these decades are present and correct!), they all have that ´Jazz Bizniz´ flavour.
